The 27-credit OATCERT program is designed to aid working professionals in earning their initial secondary (grades 7-12) teaching certificate or a master's degree in Secondary Education within one of the traditional content areas:

Instructional Technology Specialist Certification

Curriculum is designed to provide you with the fundamental knowledge of the core principles of Instructional Technology. It features:

Pennsylvania PK-12 Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certification

This program prepares educators for certification and to acquire the competencies specifically needed to support learning and development in children with hearing loss. It may be combined with a master’s degree (for only 6 more credits) or completed as a stand-alone option. You are required to:

Autism Studies & Behavior Analysis Certifications

Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement

The endorsement is a post-master's program designed for educators. The curriculum consists of four courses that provide a thorough foundation in the principles, ethics, and methods of best practices in ASD education for individuals of all ages.

Autism Studies Post-Bachelor's Certificate

This certification curriculum consists of eight courses divided between five courses that provide an introduction to autism theories, techniques, treatment and therapies and three practicum courses that incorporate field experience. The Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) has approved this eight-course sequence as meeting the coursework and the field experience requirements for taking the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) Examination.

Behavior Analysis Post Master’s Certificate

If you have already earned a master’s degree, you can obtain an Online Post Master’s Certificate in Behavior Analysis that is separate from the MS degree. It features:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)-approved coursework
  • Prepares you to sit for the BCBA examination
  • Provides skills and certificate for career advancement

Proficiency in Autism Studies Certificate
