This program prepares educators for certification and to acquire the competencies specifically needed to support learning and development in children with hearing loss. It may be combined with a master’s degree (for only 6 more credits) or completed as a stand-alone option. You are required to:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree
  • Have basic sign language competency
  • Be Level 1 certified (or have equivalent education/experience) to work with deaf/hard of hearing students

Proficiency in Autism Studies Certificate

If you do not have a bachelor’s degree, and are not interested in the BS degree completion program or BACB certification, you may still earn an online Certificate of Proficiency in Autism Studies, featuring:

  • Five theoretical courses
